Hi Guys, welcome to the 2017/2018 season of vets cricket.

The season opener is on October 15^th 2017 (fixtures to be determined soon) as

usual there will be 7 games, plus finals.

Can you please let me know ASAP if you intend to play as I need to let the

RDCA know ASAP if we have enough for 2 teams.

Confirmed Dates are October 15^th & 29^th November 12^th & 26^th (reserve day

December 4^th.)

Unofficial Dates After Christmas January 21^st February 4^th &18^th

With 8 weeks to go until the first game, could you please fill in the form below as

soon as possible so we can get an idea on numbers, and availability. If numbers

permit we will try and fill a 2^nd team, however I will need to know fairly soon to let

the RDCA veterans committee know that we will fill 2 teams.

At present there will be 8 teams in Division 1 and 8 in Division 2

Rule Changes

2 Players 38, or 39 are allowed to play as long as they do not play Saturday

Cricket in the same season. However they can help out if short, if they play in a

lower grade. (Approval from opposition captain required)

Games this year will be played on smaller grounds (45m to 50m boundary) to

entice more scoring and less running. = more smiles.

Fees for vets

All players have to be either a Full Member, Life Member or Vets Member ($20) of

the Warranwood Cricket Club.

Cost will be $10 a game for every player, which will be used to cover costs

associated for match day balls, BBQ etc.

Home Games (Max: 4) yet to confirm fixture

8 Players to bring a plate/fruit for afternoon tea

3 -4 Players to make a salad for the BBQ/Spit after the game.

A roster system will be introduced.

As always we will have a family dinner on our home games. Which is a great night

to bring the wife and kids down.

I am looking for 3/4 different Businesses/Companies/Sponsors for naming rights on

our family nights to donate the meat. These nights are attended by many. So if

you would love to Sponsor a Vets Family night let me know. It is a Great fundraiser

for the club and a great way to advertise your Business. You are more than

welcome to do a speech to promote your Business.
