Our Senior Coach is a legend of our Club. 6-time winner of the
Andrew Spittle Trophy, 5-time winner of the Rath Shield, David
Johnson has been the Senior Warranwood Coach for two
seasons after returning from a stint at Premier Club, Ringwood.
David has recently been re-signed as Senior Coach for the next
two Seasons.
In 2019/20 we fielded 5 Senior teams in RDCA competition as well as a Senior T20 team in the mid-week
competition.
Our First XI plays in the Second Division Bill Wilkins Cup competition, having won their way up from
Newey by winning the 2018/19 Premiership. Some great off-season recruitment has our team hoping
for a big Season in 2020/21.
Four other Senior teams provide a range of grades suited to players of varying levels of skill and
experience. Young up-and-coming players get to climb the ranks, playing alongside experienced
players, many who have played at the Club from our pre-Warranwood days, either at South Ringwood
or Parkwood.
Our 5th XI, the 'Super 5s', has for several Seasons been the entry level for juniors into the Senior Ranks,
and often fields father-son combos. The young players get the benefit of playing with more
experienced senior players, and the father-sons get the amazing experience of playing sport together.
This team is part of what makes the Warranwood Sharks a great family Club.
